My oil change went ok. I also had my air conditioner recharged. I was told that they would check for leaks first. If there was a leak I would be charged just for that test. I was told that the test showed I didn't have a leak. The technician the proceeded with recharging the air conditioner. It cooled off while I was in the shop but as soon as I left it started blowing hot air. I went back about 45 minutes and they ran another leak test. I was told this test also showed no leaks. The manager then recharged my air conditioner again. It started cooling off but before I left it started blowing hot air again. The manger then told me that it was leaking from the compressor. This doesn't make sense if the test showed no leaks. I took my car to the mechanic who services my car and the compressor was replaced. I went back to get a refund and was told I had to file a claim with Vavoline. The manager I spoke with said I would hear something at the most in two to three days. I still have not been contacted. There is more to this situation that I will discuss with the representative from Vaboline when and if I'm contacted. This situation has changed my view of the service I've received over the last number of years that I've taken my three cars there for service.
