I took my daughters car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Oil Change process was without issue. For the tire rotation, they take the car outside and do the rotation manually. Two service techs did the rotation, and a third torqued the lugs (supposedly).
My daughter returned two days later for the recommended re-torque and was informed she was missing two lug nuts on the front right tire!
If that isn't bad enough, the solution was, "you have two lug nuts missing. You might want to get that checked out." Then proceeded to send my daughter on her way.
As you can imagine, this is extremely dangerous and absolutely unacceptable. I returned to Valvoline (Rutland) with my daughter to speak with the staff. After a long pow-wow in the service bay, a worker returned and said he would order new nuts and send me an email when they came in.
They were comfortable sending her away again with a Tire missing two lug nuts! Oh and we also learned from the tech that completed the re-torque, all the nuts on the same tire were loose.
I sent this information to Valvoline corporate and never received a response. So I guess I will post here instead to warn everyone else in the community.
