Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I am extremely disappointed with the service we received at this location and feel it’s important to warn others before they trust this shop with their vehicle. We came in for a simple oil change, and what should have been routine turned into a series of careless mistakes and damages. While servicing our vehicle, we observed an employee using pliers under the hood because she could not properly reach or handle a component. That alone raised concern. Shortly after, we asked if the tires would be checked, as is standard practice. During that process, an employee broke the tire pressure sensor connected to the valve stem. Instead of properly resolving the issue, they attempted to put on our spare tire. It took multiple employees just to remove it, and in the process, they damaged the spare as well, breaking the valve system on that tire too. The spare would not hold air, forcing us to drive approximately 8 blocks on a compromised tire, risking damage to our rim just to reach a tire shop. Didn’t offer or check our air or cabin filter replacement It didn’t stop there. During the visit, they also: • Disturbed and left our exhaust components hanging • Messed with the suspension/shocks • Left tools (pliers) inside our engine bay, which we only discovered after getting home • Failed to reset the oil change light • Did not offer any form of discount, compensation, or accountability for the damages caused To make matters worse, there was a noticeable odor of marijuana inside the shop, and the overall environment felt unprofessional. Most of the staff appeared inexperienced, and while the manager on duty made some effort, it did not come close to correcting the situation. For comparison, we have visited another Valvoline location on Port Washington Road and received excellent service. This location, however, was the complete opposite. I will be escalating this issue to corporate. I strongly advise others to avoid this specific location unless you are willing to risk damage to your vehicle and poor service.
