My son had an oil change completed at a Valvoline location in Menominee Falls on Saturday morning before driving to Shawano for the weekend. On his way, the oil ight came on so he stopped and found he was low on oil. Added oil and made it here. Discovered when he got here that his entire undercarriage was coated with oil and the oil level was once again low. Being a Saturday afternoon, most other service shops were closed so we thought the Shawano Valvoline was our best, if not only option. Drove there and discovered that the franchise location in Menominee Falls had installed the oil drain plug without a rubber gasket, allowing oil to leak out. The technicians here in Shawano also realized that a faulty (recalled) filter had been installed with a broken gasket that allowed oil to flow out from around the filter. Even though the Shawano location is a "Corporate" owned business and not a "Franchise" operated business as the Menominee Falls location is and therefore aren't responsible for their work, they fixed the problems and refilled the engine with oil for my son free of charge. Something they did not have to do. My son and I really appreciate the crew's professionalism, understanding, and helpfulness in this situation. Give this business a try, they really do go above and beyond.
