Here is the thing, I loved the service otherwise, but valvoline definitely trains their employees to deceive customers! I came in with just over 7,000 mile on my car, driving in less than dusty conditions, and I was told I needed a new engine air filter. When I examined the air filter, it looked almost new, because it was. The tech decided to tell me how bad the filter was, started pealing apart the pleats on my filter trying to show me dirt that just wasnt there, and then said with so many miles on my engine, I should KNOW the filter needed replacing. Realistically, they should have offered to replace my filter anyways, just for accosting my filter the way they did, when trying to prove their point...but that is not what I am here for. I am here because I do NOT want my Mom, Dad, or any other elderly person to be taken advantage of, by this very unscrupulous location! The location I used to go to in Schofield was awesome! Too bad they don't have the same service down here in Wisconsin Rapids! I then talked with another tech, and asked him for some advice. I asked if he thought an engine air filter should be replaced with less than 10,000 mile on a car, and he said "no, not normally, usually 25,000-30,000 or more". (I thank HIM for his honesty) I then asked why they thought I needed a replacement. He looked up my service order, and told me that after 70,000 miles, the company expected them to sell at least an engine air filter. I then corrected him, and told him that I only have 7,000 miles on the car. He got rather sheepish, and apologized. Long story short, the technicians have ZERO CLUE what they are talking about, and only go by what corporate tells them. Be VERY careful with the Wisconsin Rapids location, as they do NOT have properly trained technicians, and the people that work there...not actual technicians...have no clue what they are talking about, and only go off of what corporate wants them to tell people, even if it is a lie, and false information. If you have had service from them, look over your invoice, and challenge them on anything they tried to "upsell" you on. One more thing...I am a former certified service advisor for Subaru, and I have seen this WAY too much! I always fought my technicians when they brought me a filter that was WAY to clean to need replacing, and ALWAYS put the customer first! Valvoline obviously does NOT put the customer first here in Wisconsin Rapids! One thing I do want to make CLEAR...the staff was very friendly, as well as very embarrassed when they realized what happened. I do not blame those individuals, I blame the manager, owner, and Valvoline corporate, for forcing their employees to lie and deceive customers, just for an extra sale! It is absolutely appalling that Wisconsin Rapids residents can not get HONEST work done on their car, or HONEST recommendations for repair work, at the Wisconsin Rapids Valvoline location, due to the management leading them, the owner having ANY hand in HONEST training, and the corporation they are representing being completely absent.

Convenient, fast, friendly and informative. A service that fits into my day versus rearranging my day for a service.
