Valvoline Instant Oil Change location at Signal Butte and Guadalupe in Mesa, Arizona.
My wife brought her vehicle in for service, and after the visit we discovered that the oil life and tire pressure were not checked. When I contacted the store to ask about this, I spoke with an employee named Zeek, who was extremely rude and dismissive.
Zeek stated that the reason the oil life and tires were not checked was because they were short staffed. He then said he did not care because they were closed and that he was not the manager. His behavior was completely unacceptable and not at all what I would expect from a company like Valvoline.
Another young man named Seth stated that he was the acting manager at the time and apologized for Zeek’s behavior, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience has left me with serious concerns.
If basic service items such as oil life and tire pressure were skipped due to staffing issues, how am I supposed to feel confident that my wife’s vehicle was serviced properly? This is exactly why my wife prefers that I handle vehicle maintenance, and this experience has only reinforced that concern.
This was not just poor customer service. It created a real concern about the quality and safety of the work performed.
