The service I received was genuinely excellent, and I also found the prices to be very reasonable. The staff demonstrated outstanding speed in delivering the service, all while maintaining a high level of quality.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I feel others should know. About a month ago, I brought my girlfriend’s car in for an oil change. We paid for the top-tier synthetic oil and also replaced the engine air filter. The only mistake was mine—I forgot to reset the oil maintenance reminder after the service. Less than 1,000 miles later, the maintenance light came on. My girlfriend brought the car back to this Valvoline Instant Oil Change location, assuming the light meant it needed attention. Instead of looking at the service history, asking a few basic questions, or simply explaining that the reminder likely just needed to be reset, they performed another complete oil change and charged her over $100. They also tried to sell her another air filter for around $100, even though it had just been replaced a month earlier. Thankfully, she declined. I stopped by afterward to ask what happened. Tom, one of the technicians, was very professional, listened to my concerns, and offered to get the manager. Unfortunately, the assistant manager’s response was disappointing. He told me they have “tons of people” who come in every 500 miles for oil changes, which honestly felt like an excuse rather than a reasonable explanation. He refused to offer any refund or even acknowledge that someone should have questioned why a vehicle with less than 1,000 miles since its last service needed another oil change. I’ve been a loyal customer for over four years. Between my personal vehicles and our company fleet vehicles, I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this location because I trusted them. That trust is gone. Good customer service isn’t just about completing a transaction—it’s about looking out for your customers and being honest when something doesn’t seem right. Because of how this situation was handled, I’ll be taking all of my business elsewhere and won’t be recommending this location to anyone.
