Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I came in needing a simple oil change and left needing to repair a coolant hose that was suddenly leaking. During the oil change, I felt a big bump and heard loud banging coming from my car. Shortly after that, I overheard someone say there was a leak. When they came to speak with me, they told me my coolant hose was leaking and acted shocked that I hadn’t noticed anything. They claimed my car should’ve been overheating badly. That made no sense to me. I had been driving my car all day and all week prior with zero issues, no overheating, no warning lights, nothing. They then said that once they opened the hood, it “just started leaking,” which also didn’t add up. If there was already a leak, how was that not the first thing noticed before or at the start of the oil change? Why was it suddenly discovered halfway through after loud banging underneath my car? I took my car to a mechanic immediately after and explained everything. He told me he’s sure the hose was hit during the oil change because it’s located right next to the oil filter, and there’s essentially no other way this damage would’ve happened. There were also new employees working that day, which makes this even more concerning. Bottom line: I went in with no coolant issues and left with one. Instead of taking responsibility, they acted surprised and made it seem like the problem was already there. I don’t trust how this was handled at all. Be careful coming here — in my experience, they damaged my car and sent me on my way like nothing happened.

i went to get oil change on my 2020 traverse this past week and never got a receipt for 180 some odd dollars, they tried to change my cabin filter and could not get it back together. I received an oil change and half of a cabin filter install for 180. ???
