I was told when I purchased my oil change that fluid top offs were included. (For close to 15 years I had fleet vehicles & used Valvoline, so I asked to ensure that was the policy for personal cars). Yesterday, I asked again upon my arrival if top offs were free & was told yes. Staff informed me I was very low (I knew that) & added oil. I was later presented with a bill for the oil with the explanation that I used more than was allowed for free. No advance warning that I would be charged! What happened to "there is no charge"!!! I should have refused to pay, but I did not.
