Tonight I stopped in to get headlight replaced. There was one car being serviced and it was close to closing. Our family has been getting our cars serviced there or issaquah location for many years. I would take my car in when it wasn’t busy to have my bulbs replaced when needed. I bring my own bulbs due to the specific bulbs needed for my car. In the past, both Sammamish and issaquah have replaced the bulb without a charge…assuming because they can see in the system I’m a regular customer. I would give the technician a tip. Tonight I was told by Logan (tech) they won’t do that so I asked how much they would charge. Logan asked the manager. He told me $5 or $7. So we proceed. It took 5 minutes tops to replace the bulb. When I was checking out Logan told me my total was $28. Of course, I was shocked and asked why he told me $5 or $7 and expressed that had he told me $28 I would not have proceeded with having them do the replacement. After consulting with the manager, he told me he made a mistake but the charge stands. I asked to speak with the manager directly. When she came over, she told me the charge stands at $28 and if I didn’t want to pay it, they would remove the bulb and give it back to me. So that’s how it concluded. They undid the work after they had already completed replacing the bulb. The bulb (which is expensive) was returned to me wrapped in a soiled paper towel. Her (manager)tone was phony politeness/passive aggressive. Logan and the other technicians appeared to be nervous around her and embarrassed. I will never give that location my business again.
